A little fun at the beach

On Monday's we get to have time to clean our place, and then have some relaxation. Last Monday we were able to go the beach. We went up north a little bit to Playa Grande. Its a nice surfing beach, and Nyah had her boogey. The waves were not too big, so it was good for me. I don't like to get tossed very much.

Here are some more pictures of some of our territory and the animals we see...It seems like there is always some big critters in our backyard. Tonight we saw some langosta (big locusts) about the size of my hand. They flew into our kingdom hall the other night, and landed on my pant leg...also landed on a sister from the states, but she didn't scream...Always an adventure with all the critters. A brother found a orange fruit that was kind of like a mango...So we decided to take a break.

One month, it has flown by...

We can't believe we have been in Costa Rica for 1 month. Crazy fast...We have been really busy. The service has been going great. Corina has started a couple of studies, and we were doing about 10 other studies for a couple who has been here for 10 months who went back to New York for a couple of weeks.

Our service is about 3 hours of walking from 8am to 11am. We usually have sometime to eat lunch and then we go and do some studies. When we get back we are pretty exhausted...Here is what Nyah looks like after...


One evening we were really craving some Curried Chicken, and Roti. So Corina decided to make some. It turned out so good...Here are some pics of Nyah helping with the Roti, and the big pot of curried chicken.



The weather is getting hotter, which has been nice, but you forget that it just gets hotter and hotter. We are still supposed to be in the rainy season until the first of november, but it hasn't rained here for about 8 days...So we are enjoying the sun.

Preaching with the monkeys

So we are able to put up some pictures finally...We have a really busy week out in service. It went by really fast. The rains have been pretty strong in the afternoon, but in the morning it is usually fairly sunny, and warm.

Last Saturday we went to a place about 10 kilometers on this dirt road. We got to a plaza, and then we just started walking. It was so nice, because we didn't get rained on at all. Towards the end we were down by a river, and we started to hear the howling from the monkeys...Nyah took a video. Here are some shots of the service group we were with as well.
